A Bundall beauty therapist who has combined holistic and modern technology to give her clients exactly what they are craving says people have “really needed nurturing” after the Covid-19 pandemic.
Christie Cameron from SSKIN at Bundall was named the Gold Coast’s number one beauty and skin therapist for the second year in a row in the Gold Coast Bulletin’s best beauty and skin care specialist 2022 competition.
The beauty clinic was created in 2020 by sisters Emilee and Amy Hembrow and Ms Cameron said the sisters have created a place for therapists to flourish.
“The girls have done a really good job with the business,” she said.
“They are heavily involved in the running of it and have created an incredible company culture.”
Ms Cameron said she saw a shift towards self-care and wellness post-Covid-19 lockdowns.
“I have focused on the healing power of touch in my treatments,” she said.
“People really need nurturing at the moment.
“Obviously we want beautiful skin results, but combining the holistic element of healing and touch, we can create the full experience for the client.”
