Well wishers congratulating the Oxenford complex’s president, Lynne Benzie, who has worked at the studios for 28 years, on the milestone also include US producer Rob Cowan, who has made two blockbusters — San Andreas and Aquaman — on the lot.
“I just want to say it’s a world-class facility,” Cowan says in the clip.
“I’d come back there in a minute to make any movie I could.
“I just want to wish a happy anniversary and all the best to Lynne (Benzie) and Graham (Burke) and everyone at Village Roadshow.
“Thankyou for having me and I look forward to coming back again.”
The studios have hosted more than 155 productions since they first opened on July 22, 1988b — at least 10 of them lured to the Coast to film thanks to the complex’s water tank, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
