Shannon Noll displays ripped sixpack amid body transformation

Australian Idol star Shannon Noll has shared a shirtless selfie on social media, with fans commenting on his dramatic body transformation.

Aussie singer Shannon Noll has showed off his ripped new physique on social media.

The Australian Idol star has been on a health kick since early this year and the impressive results were on full display in his latest selfie shared on Instagram.

In the photo, the 48-year-old could be seen with bulging biceps and a distinct sixpack as he posed by some gym equipment.

“Dropped a few kilo last week after having the flu!” he captioned the shirtless pic.

“Back training this morning though, not 100% yet but much better than last week!”

His followers and famous friends alike gushed about the transformation, praising the What About Me? singer in the comments.

“Mate, are you in Thor 2 The Movie?” Grant Denyer asked, while fellow Australian Idol star Guy Sebastian – who beat Noll to win the 2003 season – said, “Mate you’re killing it!!! Looking huuge.”

Aussie actor and comedian Shane Jacobson was also all praise, as he joked: “Jesus mate …. now we look identical!!!!!!!”

Boxer Danny Green was equally impressed: “Ya back on the jungle diet champ!!”

Noll hit the gym again around March after an 18-month hiatus due to a bad knee, revealing in an Instagram post at the time that he was pumped to work on his health and fitness again.

“I’m loving being back in the gym! My body is responding really well!” he captioned a gym selfie.

“Thank goodness for muscle memory! Big thanks to @ba.music.fitness and @fitness_vending @athleticsport_ for sending me some great protein! I’m also eating heaps of eggs!”

In a follow-up post, he said he was “really enjoying it! Looking forward to ramping it up and getting my diet and routine on track!”

The singer’s new appearance has some followers on Instagram calling him “Swollsie” – a play on his nickname Nollsie and his new “swollen biceps”.
