Carrie Bickmore and Chris Walker’s split has already involved Instagram drama and now Chris has reportedly made his next big move.

Carrie Bickmore’s ex Chris Walker has reportedly joined a dating app and is swiping for love like the rest of us.

Woman’s Day has reported that a friend of Walker’s explained that the television producer for the ABC is actively looking for romance again.

“After the initial sadness of the separation with Carrie, we’ve all encouraged him to put himself ‘out there’ again.

“He’s trying his luck with dating apps – he’s a little rusty given his lack of experience with them, but he’s certainly had plenty of interest so far.

“It’s still early days, though, and he’s not ready to dive straight back into a relationship, but he’s open to meeting someone new,” the friend revealed.

After a decade together, Bickmore and Walker announced their shock split in January.

The former couple shares two children together, and Walker has been seen as a devoted stepdad to Bickmore’s son Oliver after Oliver’s dad tragically passed away from brain cancer.

Bickmore, who has just left Channel 10’s The Project after over a decade on the panel, went to social media to announce the break-up.

“It’s with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,” she wrote.

“While this is a tough time, our focus is to concentrate on parenting, loving and supporting our three amazing children, Ollie, Evie and Addie, with everything we’ve got. They are doing great.

“We won’t be making any further comment at this stage,” she wrote on behalf of the pair.

No further comment turned into messy Instagram activity pretty quickly.

In March, Walker went viral after he posted a photo to his Instagram story from an old 2018 photoshoot that featured him, a pregnant Bickmore and Bickmore’s long-time radio co-host Tommy Little.

At the time, the photoshoot was clearly meant to be poking fun at Little’s third-wheel role in Bickmore’s busy family life.

In the image, Walker is touching Bickmore’s belly, and Little is standing behind Walker.

So why did Walker share it?

Well, no one knows, really. Walker hasn’t commented on it since, but the cryptic post quickly sparked dating rumours, with people wondering if Bickmore and Little had become an item, and this was Walker’s way of revealing it.

Bickmore and Walker’s split came after they spent three months exploring Europe with their family; during the trip, Walker got caught up in a scandal after he stripped naked for a shower and forgot to turn off his camera following a work Skype call.

At the time, an ABC spokesperson told news.com.au that staff members on the call had been offered counselling.
