A violent brawl broke out between a group of women at a south-Sydney Oporto restaurant on Saturday night.
CCTV footage from the fast-food restaurant in Brighton-Le-Sands shows two women trying to fight one another before a man grabs them both in an attempt to break them up.
Other people gather around watching and a young woman stands on the restaurant table to get around the fight.
Police were called to the restaurant at 9.30pm where two teenage girls aged 15 and 18 were assaulted by another two women inside the restaurant.
A police spokesman said a 30-year-old man attempted to intervene by restraining the two women before he was slapped by another male customer.
Witnesses told 7News the fight started after one of the young women came into the restaurant scared and told the manager she was being pursued by another group.
The witness said the young woman’s request for help was denied.
Another group came in shortly after and the fight began.
The women who allegedly started the fight left the restaurant before the police arrived.
“There were no reports of any person suffering serious injuries,” the police spokesperson said.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
