Two people have died in a crash between a car and a NSW Rural Fire Service truck in the Central Tablelands.
Police said about 9.30am, a Ford car with two men in it collided with a firetruck carrying four RFS staff on Castlereagh Hwy near Pearsons Lookout, north of Lithgow.
The two men in the car died at the scene and have not yet been formally identified.
The male fire truck driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers have established a crime scene and begun an investigation into the crash.
Police are appealing for anyone who has dashcam footage or witnessed the accident to come forward.
