Trains delays anticipated as NSW Police operation underway at Redfern Station

Commuters are being warned of possible train delays as a police operation is carried out at a busy Sydney railway station.
Just after 12.30pm on Thursday, emergency services responded to a situation at Redfern train station.
NSW Police remain on scene and are expected to be on site for an undetermined amount of time.
Train delays are possible in the lead-up to peak hours services from 3pm onwards.
Shortly following the incident, T2 Inner West and Leppington line services were not stopping at Macdonaldtown, Newtown, Petersham, Lewisham.
Trains were also reportedly running late on the T3 Bankstown line, according to the official T3 Sydney Trains Twitter account.
TfNSW confirmed there are no other major delays reported on the rail network following the incident, however it may be subject to change depending on the operation.
As of 3pm, train services had returned to normal, according to Twitter accounts for the T2 and T3 lines.
Trains data show normal services resumed at Macdonaldtown, Newtown, Petersham, Lewisham about 4.30pm.
Train services had skipped those stops altogether, save infrequent services, from 1pm.
