Teenager hospitalised after hammer attack, bashing in Sydney’s southwest

Two teenagers have been charged after a boy was hospitalised following a hammer attack in Sydney’s southwest.

Two teenagers have been charged after a boy was hospitalised following a hammer attack in Sydney’s southwest.

Camden police were called to Currans Hill on Tuesday afternoon and found a 16-year-old boy with facial injuries and head lacerations.

Police said the teenager had been a passenger in a vehicle when two males ambushed the car and repeatedly punched him in the face about 4.30pm.

When the 16-year-old tried to flee, he was allegedly hit in the back of the head with a hammer.

The boy was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene and taken to Liverpool Hospital for further treatment.

His condition is unknown.

On Wednesday, police arrested and charted two boys, aged 16 and 17, at a home

Following investigation police were able to arrest two teenage boys aged 16 and 17 at a home on Mcdonald Road in Bardia.

They were taken to Narellan Police Station where they were charged with reckless wounding in company. The 17-year old was also charged with breach of bail.

They were refused bail and will appear before a children’s court on Thursday
