A man has been charged for drink-driving with a toddler in his car — twice in one night.
Police allegedly first caught the man, 37, driving a Mazda CX-9 at random breath test site on Oxford St, Woollahra about 7.40pm on Thursday night.
He was accompanied in the car by a woman and a 20-month-old boy.
Police said he had a positive result to a roadside breath test, then returned a reading of 0.108 when he was re-tested at Waverley Police Station.
His licence was confiscated and he was issued a notice to appear at Waverley Local Court on January 18 to face charges of driving with a middle-range PCA and driving a motor vehicle while his licence was suspended.
Then just after 9.40pm, different officers stopped the same Mazda CX-9 driver, still accompanied by the woman and boy, at a random breath testing station on Parramatta Rd, Camperdown.
He allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test before being taken to Newtown Police Station, where he underwent a secondary breath analysis, returning an alleged reading of 0.083.
The man was again charged with driving with a middle-range PCA and driving a motor vehicle while his licence was suspended.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear before Newtown Local Court on January 24.
