Second man charged after man shot, woman bashed in Chester Hill home invasion
A second man has been charged in connection with a violent home invasion in which shots were fired, and occupants were threatened with a firearm and a baseball bat, in Sydney’s west.

A second man has been charged in connection with a violent home invasion in Chester Hill last year, where shots were fired, and those inside the house were threatened with weapons, including a firearm and a baseball bat.
Officers were called to Esme Ave in Chester Hill about 4.30pm on September 28 last year following reports shots had been fired.
Five men allegedly forced their way into the home, discharged a firearm and threatened the people inside.
A 48-year-old man sustained a minor leg injury from the gunfire and a 46-year-old woman was allegedly struck with a baseball bat.
Both were treated at the scene and did not require hospital care. Several children were home but were unharmed.
Strike Force Kairawa was launched by detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad to investigate the incident.
In April 2024, a 23-year-old man was charged for his involvement and remains before the courts.
After months of investigation, a second person, a 22-year-old man, was arrested on Sunday at Parramatta Police Station.
He faces several charges, including aggravated breaking and entering; intimidation and assault.
He was refused bail before being granted conditional bail later that day.
He is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on November 12.
Investigations under Strike Force Kairawa are ongoing.
