Police are hunting five attackers after a terrifying home invasion in Sydney’s west where a man was shot and a woman bashed with a baseball bat.
Officers were called to Esme Ave in Chester Hill about 4.30pm on Thursday after hearing reports shots had been fired.
Police were told at least five attackers armed with guns, knives and a baseball bat forced their way into the home and confronted the occupants.
A 48-year-old man was shot at, the bullet grazing his chest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him for minor injuries and he was taken to Bankstown Hospital for treatment.
A 46-year-old woman in the home was also attacked with a baseball bat. It’s believed she was hit on the head.
