Police manhunt in Guildford after taxi driver stabbed over fare

A man is on the run after a taxi driver was stabbed in western Sydney.
Police in Guildford are responding to reports the driver was attacked after a dispute with a passenger over pay near Markey St.
The man has been taken to hospital in a stable condition with “minor injuries”, police said.
Police are currently on the scene being assisted by the dog squad combing over nearby streets to locate the man.
“About 4.30pm today emergency services were called to Bright Park, Guildford, following reports a taxi driver had been stabbed,” a NSW Police spokesman said.
“Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrived to find a 40-year-old man with stab wounds to his arm.
“Police were told an unknown male stabbed the man during a dispute.
The 40-year-old was treated for minor injuries before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.”
