One pedestrian dead, one critical in separate truck crashes in Sydney
A man has died and a woman is critical after two separate crashes involving trucks hitting pedestrians within two days in Sydney. A third pedestrian suffered serious leg injures in a shopping centre accident.

Two pedestrians have been hit by trucks within two days in Sydney, one fatally.
Just before 8am on Tuesday, a truck collided with a man on Greenhills Ave, Moorebank.
NSW Police officers arrived on the scene to find a man in his 40s suffering serious injuries.
Paramedics worked on him but he died at the scene.
The truck driver was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and SafeWork NSW were notified.
On Tuesday afternoon, a female pedestrian was also struck by a car in a shopping centre carpark in Sydney’s southwest and taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries to both legs.
The woman was struck at The Valley Plaza on Wilson Rd, Green Valley about 1.40pm
On Monday, a truck driver was charged with running a red light and striking a female pedestrian in Lilyfield, in Sydney’s inner west.
The 66-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown in critical condition.
The male truck driver was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established by NSW Police and later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
The truck was also seized for forensic examination.
Following investigations, the truck driver was taken to Newtown Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasion grievous bodily harm, drive manner dangerous, negligent driving occasion grievous bodily harm and not stop at stop line at red light (not toll booth).
His licence was also suspended.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on September 26.
