Police are hunting agang who stormed an elderly couple’s home in Sydney’s northwest and threatened its occupants with a knife before stealing a number items on Tuesday morning.
Officers were called to a home in Kellyville Ridge shortly before 3.30am following the aggravated home invasion.
The balaclava-clad trio forced their way into the home through an open garage door before they were approached by the elderly couple.
One of the perpetrators allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened the pair before the group stole mobile phones and cash.
The thugs left in what was described as a dark SUV being driven by a fourth person.
The couple, a 63-year-old woman and 65-year-old man, were shaken but not injured during the ordeal.
Officers searched that area but the offenders couldn’t be found.
Police have established a crime scene and investigators are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
