Police have released CCTV images of a man they believe might have information after a another man was kidnapped, beaten and dumped by the side of a Central Coast road earlier this year.
The man, 23, was walking near the intersection of Havenview and Hillcrest streets, Terrigal, about midnight on Saturday, February 12 when a black ute stopped beside him.
Four men exited the ute and assaulted him, before dragging him into the vehicle where police claim he was threatened with a knife and baton, causing cuts to his hand and ear and face fractures.
The man was driven to Crackneck Lookout where the group removed some of his clothing and jewellery then dumped him by the side of the road.
The group returned a short time later to beat the man again before leaving him at Hillcrest St.
About 3.20am the man’s family drove him to Gosford Hospital for treatment and the ordeal was reported to police.
Detectives have now released CCTV from a pub on Terrigal Dr, depicting a man they believe could help with the investigation.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance, with short hair and of solid build.
The man is shown wearing white sneakers with black shorts and a black T-shirt with a motif on the front and back.
He is believed to have been in a black sedan, likely a Chrysler.
Anyone with information or with additional CCTV or dashcam footage from the area is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
