The mother of an alleged Alameddine crime clan member has been arrested after an investigation into her son allegedly also found she had been using a fake Covid-19 vaccine certificate to work at a primary school.
Jeanette Catherine Jeske — whose son Trent Jeske is allegedly a member of the Alameddine clan — was arrested by NSW Police on Tuesday during a raid at her Merrylands home.
Police allege Ms Jeske gave the primary school — where she works as an administrative manager — the fake vaccine certificate last October, after she received it through her connections to the Alameddine network.
The 55-year-old’s alleged fraudulent certificate was uncovered by Criminal Groups Squad detectives as part of their investigations into the Alameddine’s alleged drug running operation, called “R4W” (Ready for War).
Ms Jeske’s son Trent is currently behind bars on remand on charges linked to his alleged role as a senior member of “R4W”.
Officers attached to Strike Force Sugarcane carried out a search warrant at Ms Jeske’s home on Tuesday and seized cash, documentation and electronic items.
She was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station, where she was charged with dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception, dealing with less than $100,000 in proceeds of crime, and participating in a criminal group.
Ms Jeske was refused police bail and will face Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday.
Coincidentally, her son Trent is also due to face the same court on the same day, on charges relating to his alleged involvement with “R4W”.
