Mulla Altinok sought by police after alleged escape from custody

A man who allegedly escaped police custody in Sydney’s southwest on Saturday morning has sparked a major manhunt.

A man who allegedly escaped police custody in Sydney’s southwest has sparked a major manhunt.

Mulla Altinok, 28, was last seen on Meredith St in Bankstown about 6.30am on Saturday.

Bankstown police have commenced an investigation and are now conducting inquiries to locate him.

Altinok is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 165cm tall, of solid build, shaved head and numerous tattoos on his upper body.

He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved top with a white collar, grey tracksuit pants and no shoes.

Anyone who sees Mulla is urged not to approach him but to contact triple-0 immediately.
