Alack Hamzi Hijazi, Balal Saleh face drug supply charges after Strike Force Trute raids
A special operation designed to crack the drug supply network in Sydney’s south has seen two more arrests. Here’s the latest after a string of raids.

Two men - Balal Saleh and Alack Hamzi Hijazi - face drug supply charges after a special police operation saw them arrested at a licensed premises at Homebush West on Thursday.
Homes at Hurstville and Roselands were subsequently raided by officers from Strike Force Trute - formed to target the flow of illegal drugs in Sydney’s south.
Mr Saleh, 39, and Mr Hijazi, 31, faced Parramatta Local Court on Friday after being refused bail. Bail was not applied for and refused at court.
St George Police Area Command detectives formed the strike force in May to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, heroin and gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), across the area.
Investigators moved on a licensed premises on Parramatta Rd about 9.20am when the men were arrested.
Search warrants were then executed at homes in Hurstville and Kingsgrove, where police seized telecommunications devices, drug paraphernalia, credit card reading devices and prohibited drugs. The items will undergo forensic examination.
Nine people have now been charged with various offences by Strike Force Trute – including drug supply – and remain before the courts.
Mr Hijazi, of Hurstville, was charged with six counts of supply prohibited drug indictable and commercial quantity and three counts of supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis.
He is also charged with knowingly direct activities of a criminal group and knowingly deal with $7580 that is allegedly the proceeds of crime.
Court papers allege he supplied 192.25g of methylamphetamine and 9.79g of heroin.
Mr Saleh, of Roselands, is charged with supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and supply prohibited drug indictable and commercial quantity.
He allegedly assisted Mr Hijazi to facilitate the supply of prohibited drugs. Documents tendered to court allege he supplied 99.7g of methylamphetamine.
Their matter is due to return to Sutherland Local Court on January 19.
