Man charged after alleged Blacktown stabbing leaves victim in serious condition

Police have charged a man, alleging he stabbed another man in Blacktown. The alleged victim is in hospital with serious injuries.

A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing that left a victim with serious injuries in Sydney’s west.

Police were called to David Lane in Blacktown shortly before 10.30pm on Saturday, where the victim was found with injuries to his ribs and hip.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Westmead Hospital in serious condition.

Following investigations, a 33-year-old man was arrested on Sunday afternoon at Blacktown Police Station.

He has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and driving while disqualified.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Blacktown Local Court today.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
