Man, 29, shot at apartment block at Potts Hill, in Sydney’s west

Police want to speak to a man seen driving a white Hilux away from the scene of a shooting in Potts Hill early Sunday morning, which they believe was a targeted attack.

A man facing drug charges was shot a number of times outside a Sydney unit block on Sunday morning.

The 29-year-old was hit at least twice during the attack at 4.30am in Rowe Drive, Potts Hill in south-west Sydney.

A black SUV was found burnt out in Nobbs Rd, Yagoona which police believe was linked to the shooting.

“It indicates it could be a targeted attack,” Detective Chief Inspector Darren Beeche said yesterday.

”We’ve been able to piece together a version of events through witnesses,’’ he said.

The man was known to police and it is believed the shooting was drug-related.

Police are appealing to people in the area who may have seen a man driving a white Toyota Hilux 2008 model, single cab tray top, with NSW registration DSK19H who they believe has information relating to the incident.

The man is in a serious condition in hospital and will be interviewed by police in the coming days.
