Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi in alleged confrontation with radio staffer at pub in Sydney’s east

Australian actor turned Hollywood superstar Jacob Elordi was allegedly involved in an altercation outside a pub in Sydney’s eastern suburbs over the weekend.

Australian actor turned Hollywood superstar Jacob Elordi was allegedly involved in an altercation outside a pub in Sydney’s eastern suburbs on Saturday afternoon.

The Saltburn, Euphoria and Kissing Booth actor was socialising at the Clovelly Hotel for a number of hours before getting into an argument with KIIS FM radio employee and TikTokker Joshua Fox, who approached him for comment out the front of the venue.

The Sunday Telegraph understands Elordi, 26, was offended by one of the questions posed by Fox — also the man behind cult Married At First Sight Instagram page MAFS funny — before getting into an altercation and then leaving the scene.

On Saturday night police said they were investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside an eastern suburbs hotel.

They were told that about 3.30pm a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man.

The man did not sustain any injuries, the police statement said.

“Inquiries into the incident are continuing.”

Police confirmed they received a report of the incident but have not yet interviewed all parties. No charges had been laid.

The Sunday Telegraph has approached Fox and Elordi for comment.

On Sunday police sources confirmed CCTV of the incident had been seized by detectives and will be reviewed as part of the investigation into the complaint.

Soon after the alleged confrontation outside the Clovelly Hotel, Fox went to Waverley Police Station and made a report, but refused to give a formal statement.

It is believed he has declined further requests by police to make a statement.

Coincidentally, the alleged incident involving Elordi happened the same day fellow Hollywood actor Margot Robbie — who was the producer on his latest hit Saltburn — arrived in Australia in time for the AACTA Awards.

Elordi became an overnight success thanks to his role as high school student Noah Flynn in 2018 teen romantic comedy The Kissing Booth — a movie he recently controversially said wasn’t very good.

However, he reached a new level of success thanks to the TV cult hit Euphoria, where he played bad boy Nate.

His recent portrayal of Elvis in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, and aristocrat Felix Catton in the eye-popping hit movie Saltburn has secured his status as a bona fide Hollywood success story.

He has been on all the major US talk shows, and last month landed the coveted hosting job on Saturday Night Live.

It’s believed Elordi has been in the country for a number of months. Late last year he was filming his new Australian miniseries The Narrow Road in the Deep South.

It was reported this week that the star looked a little flustered while withdrawing cash on Sydney’s Oxford St when his bank card appeared to be stuck in the ATM.

In December, he was spotted browsing Paddington Markets before ordering a bacon and egg roll from a food stall at the famed location on Oxford Street.

Elordi, who was born in Brisbane and went to school in Melbourne, is dating American YouTube influencer Olivia Jade.
