There will be a season three of Real Housewives of Sydney, but the franchise may be without the unofficial star of the show and one housewife is set to be replaced.

The Real Housewives of Sydney has been recommissioned and will begin filming later this year, however the franchise may be without the star of the show and one housewife is set to be replaced.

While Binge wouldn’t weigh in to the rumours on Saturday, Sunday Confidential can reveal season two of the Binge series was so hugely successful that cast members have been approached to record once again, with cameras set to roll in April.

We can also reveal there will be a new executive producer and production team to film season three.

The most recent season saw newbies Sally Obermeder, Terry Biviano, Caroline Gaultier, Victoria Montano and Kate Adams feature on the series, alongside returning Housewives Krissy Marsh and Nicole O’Neil.

However, Confidential hears whispers Biviano, the housewife branded by many as “queen bee”, is reluctant to sign on once again.

And rumoured to have gotten production off-side is former Miss Australia Nicole Gazal, who failed to show up to the reunion due to an undisclosed “family commitment”.

She also clashed with longtime friend Biviano towards the end of the season, and has since confirmed that the pair still have a rocky relationship.

“Lisa Vanderpump didn’t show up to the reunion of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and she got the chop the following year,” one insider said.

“Terry enjoyed her time on the show last year, however she is reluctant to do it all again. However, production knows they need her and don’t really have a show without her.

“Sally and Kate will be cast again as they are popular with viewers and both have a huge following on social media.

“So that leaves question marks over the remaining four women.”

As for potential replacements, Sunday Confidential hears whispers Kate Champion, the wife of Laser Clinics Australia co-founder Alistair Champion, is being pushed by pals to sign up for the show.

Reports last month suggested the couple had quietly broken up, after they returned to Sydney following a year-long sojourn in Paris. However, the rumours were dismissed by Kate as being “scurrilous gossip”.

Either way, her fabulous life and penchant for luxury fashion would no doubt make for great TV.

“She would be great for the show. She’s got the money and the clothes, but she probably won’t cause much drama,” the insider said.

“She doesn’t get involved with politics and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.

“She’s one of the nice girls, so I am not sure she would cope in that environment with all the bitchiness.”

JODI DISCOVERS THE MEANING OF LIFE AT 39

The best is yet to come, says Australian actor Jodi Gordon.

The former Neighbours cast member told Sunday Confidential she is excited for what 2024 will bring, following a tumultuous few years.

“It’s a wonderful time celebrating my birthday while also acknowledging the gratitude I have for my loved ones and how important they are to me,” Gordon said.

“As I get older, I see that’s what birthdays are about more than anything. It’s also really meaningful that people resonate with my story and we share a sense of hope when we share with each other. Very excited about 39.”

Gordon’s new-found appreciation for getting a year older comes after she this week publicly admitted to struggling with substance abuse for most of her life, in an Instagram post on her 39th birthday.

Gordon said her sobriety and rehab experience had significantly changed her life for the better, adding she became sober in April 2022.

“I have battled substance abuse for the most part of my life, stepping into recovery at 24 but never being able to stay stopped,” she wrote.

“On April 7th 2022 I got sober and have stayed sober ever since, completely changing my life in ways I didn’t think were possible.”

She also thanked her ex-husband, former rugby league star Braith Anasta, with whom she had previously had a rocky relationship.

“I always wanted a big family, and I got one with my daughter Aleeia. She is unlike any human I have ever known, so loving, fierce, patient, wise, and curious,” Gordon said.

“I love being her teacher and student … Thank you Braith for the wonderful gift of a lifetime.”

Gordon is currently studying for a Bachelor of Counselling and Communication Skills, and has started a professional job in mental health, aiming to reduce discrimination and stigma. Gordon says she has also found solace in poetry and writing, and thanked her supporters for their love.

NAVEEN JOINS LAST KING OF THE CROSS

Golden Globe nominee Naveen Andrews is set to join the cast of Australian drama series Last King Of The Cross for season two.

The 55-year-old is best known for his role in the cult television series Lost, for which he won a Screen Actors Guild Award.

He has also appeared in the iconic classic movie The English Patient, among others, and most recently in The Dropout alongside Amanda Seyfried.

Filming of Last King Of The Cross is under way in Sydney, with producers promising “higher” stakes and even greater threats as a new and even more dangerous enemy arises.

Paramount creative adviser Rick Maier said: “Going up against the Ibrahims on screen is no easy task. Naveen promises to give Lincoln and Claude a run for their money.

“He’s a brilliant actor, and a fantastic inclusion for series two.”
