Central Station brawl: man 18, 15-year-old boy latest to be charged

Two more people have been charged as part of ongoing investigations into an alleged 30 person brawl in Sydney’s CBD earlier this month as police continue to search for more involved.

Two more people have been charged as part of ongoing investigations into an alleged 30 person brawl in Sydney’s CBD earlier this month.

Police responded to reports of a fight involving 20 to 30 people near the Elizabeth St entrance shortly before 11pm on February 9.

Witnesses reported people attacking each other before several flares were ignited during the altercation before the group dispersed.

No injuries were reported.

Following investigations under Strike Force Moonul, five individuals have been charged and remain before the court.

Person F, is described as being of caucasian appearance, of average height and medium build. He is depicted wearing a navy blue puffer jacket, black pants, sunglasses on the back of his head and black Nike-brand shoes with white soles and shoe laces.

The most recent arrests, saw a 15-year-old boy taken into custody at Campbelltown Police Station on February 18, followed by the arrest of an 18-year-old man at Auburn Police station.

Both males were charged with affray and possessing bright light distress signal in a public place.

The 15-year-old was granted conditional bail and is to appear in a children’s court on March 10.

The 18-year-old man was granted conditional bail and will appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on March 25.

Investigators have released CCTV images of people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is depicted wearing a navy blue puffer jacket, black pants, sunglasses on the back of his head and black Nike-brand shoes with white soles and shoe laces.
