Police have released CCTV footage as they continue investigating a series of antisemitic attacks across Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Officers were called to multiple locations on January 30 after reports of malicious damage.
Anti-Semitic graffiti was found at a school on Runic Lane in Maroubra, a nearby home on Hannan St and a shopping centre on Bunnerong Rd in Eastgardens.
That same day, officers responded to another incident at a home on Sparks St in Eastlakes, where more antisemitic graffiti was discovered.
Following initial inquiries, police believe the incidents are linked, with detectives from Strike Force Pearl now leading the investigation.
As part of their inquiries, detectives have released CCTV vision of a white Kia Stonic SUV, which was seen travelling across multiple locations on the morning of the attacks.
The vehicle was first spotted on the M5 Motorway on-ramp near Kingsgrove Road at 5.20am before being recorded near the targeted locations in Maroubra, Eastgardens and Eastlakes between 5.40am and 6.20am.
It was last seen in Mascot at 6.29am.
Police are seeking to identify two men believed to be in the vehicle.
The passenger is described as a Caucasian man of thin build, last seen wearing a blue jumper with an orange liner, a white medical mask, dark pants and brown shoes.
The driver is described as a man of large build, last seen wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap.
Strike force detectives are urging anyone with information about either of these men, or information, dashcam footage or CCTV of these incidents to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“The NSW Police Force takes hate crimes seriously and encourages anyone who is the victim of or witnesses a hate crime to report it,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
“It is important that the community and police continue to work together to make NSW a safer place for everyone.”
