A man charged with inciting a shop worker to sexually touch him is accused of presenting a doctor’s certificate to say he suffered a medical condition with his penis, before allegedly conning her to rub oil on him while secretly filming her.

Police will allege Stephen John Jones, 69, entered the store on Church St in Parramatta on Saturday, November 26, on crutches, claiming a workplace accident had left him barely able to walk.

But a short time later he was allegedly running out of the store on his own two feet after finding out the worker had called police following her encounter.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal NSW Police will allege Jones presented the staff member a doctors certificate which he said showed he suffered from spontaneous erections, a painful medical condition he was treating by rubbing grape seed oil on the area.

After allegedly being conned into thinking Jones was injured and agreeing to help him get changed, the woman agreed to his request that she help him rub the oil on his groin.

Jones allegedly put on a blindfold and covered his eyes, telling the worker he felt embarrassed and did not want to look.

But while rubbing the oil the victim looked up and allegedly noticed Jones with his mobile phone recording her.

She said she was calling the police at which point Jones allegedly gathered his belongings and ran, unaided, out of the store.

After an investigation NSW Police arrested Jones almost a week later and charged him with inciting another to sexually touch him without consent.

“About 5.20pm on Friday, December 2 2022, officers from Parramatta Police Area Command arrested a 69-year-old man on Church Street at North Parramatta,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with incite another to sexually touch them without consent, and intentionally record intimate image without consent.”

“The charges relate to an alleged incident at a store in the Parramatta area on Saturday, November 26 2022.”

Jones faced Parramatta Local Court on Saturday on five charges including three counts of incite another to do sexual act without consent, carry out sexual act with another without consent and intentionally record intimate image without consent.

He was refused bail and is due to next face the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.
