Glamorous model and TV personality Simone Holtznagel, 29, allegedly became an obsession for older man Benjamin Reeves, 58.

A man has been charged with stalking one of the country’s top models after his alleged captivation with her saw him repeatedly turn up uninvited at events she was appearing at.

The glamorous Simone Holtznagel, 29, allegedly became an obsession for Benjamin Reeves, 58, who police allege followed her to multiple locations across a period of almost two months.

NSW Police intervened on August 1, arresting Reeves at his McMahons Point home and charging him with one count of stalking/intimidating, as well as taking out a restraining order to protect Ms Holtznagel.

Ms Holtznagel – who is best known for appearing on TV shows including Australia’s Next Top Model and I’m A Celebrity! Get Me Out of Here – is currently on holidays with her celebrity personal trainer boyfriend Jono Castano, and when approached by The Daily Telegraph said she was unable to comment as the matter was before the courts.

But a source close to the popular model and TV personality however said she had been quite distressed by the recent events.

“He has (allegedly) been showing up wherever she is, whether it is working or attending an event,” the source said.

“It has been very full on. Simone is strong but it is hard not to let it get to you.”

When The Daily Telegraph called Reeves on Sunday to ask him about the allegations, he responded only: “No comment”.

In a statement, NSW Police said it would be alleged the stalking incidents started in “mid-2022” and went through until July.

“From mid-2022 until Sunday, July 31, 2022, it’s alleged a man repeatedly followed her (Ms Holtznagel) to multiple locations and intimidated her,” a police spokeswoman said.

“The man was not known to the woman.

“The man was taken to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.”

Reeves was granted conditional police bail and is due to face Hornsby Local Court on Tuesday, August 23.

Holtznagel meanwhile earlier this year appeared as a contestant on top Seven reality show, SAS Australia.

She is regarded as one of our top modelling exports over recent decades thanks to her high profile gigs fronting campaigns for the likes of Guess Jeans, Bras N Things and Honey Birdette.

Holtznagel, whose younger sister, Maddy, is also a model, famously appeared on the cover of Playboy in the United States.
