Madeline Holtznagel puts Justin Hemmes before modelling career

Madeline Holtznagel is said to be prioritising her high-profile relationship with bar tsar Justin Hemmes over her modelling career.

Madeline Holtznagel’s modelling career has taken a back seat since she hooked up with pubs boss Justin Hemmes, with agents warning the young beauty of missing her prime in the fast-moving fashion industry.

The sister of successful model Simone Holtznagel, Madeline has been dating Hemmes since August 2020 and sources close to the pair say she is prioritising her high-profile relationship over her modelling career.

And while dating someone famous has helped fast track the careers of other models including Liam Hemsworth’s girlfriend Gabriella Brookes, those in the industry say she won’t experience the same trajectory as Brookes.

“It’s not like Madeline is going out with a Hemsworth,” one industry source said.

“I don’t think this relationship with Justin will have much of an impact on her career. If anything, she will be more known as a bit of a celebrity model as opposed to a fashion model.”

Sunday Confidential approached Holtznagel’s agent this week for comment and a spokesperson said: “Yes Madeline H is signed with us and works quite regularly.”

Holtznagel’s days seem to be jam-packed with lunches and dinners at Hemmes’ various Sydney venues, and lazy days at his properties at Narooma and Vaucluse.

“There’s no denying she is putting all her eggs in one basket at the moment,” someone close to the couple said.

“It’s all well and good now, but there might come a time when the relationship runs its course and she will need her modelling career, so she can support herself financially.”

Hemmes has dated a string of beauties in the past, including chiropractor Simone Bosman, model Amber L’Strange and singer Natalie Imbruglia.

He has two children with model Kate Fowler, from whom he split in 2018 after three years of dating.
