An alleged member of the Alameddine crime network has been charged with conspiring to murder rival gangster Ibrahem Hamze and all five members of rap group OneFour.
Adam Achrafi had the fresh charges laid against him on Tuesday by officers from the NSW Police State Crime Command, who allege Achrafi was involved in the two separate conspiracies to murder in 2021 and 2023.
In a statement, police said officers from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Newnham allege the first plot Achrafi was involved in was a plot to kill Hamze at North Sydney in 2021.
That attempt only failed when local police attempted to pull over the two alleged gunmen, resulting in them fleeing at speed and officers terminating their pursuit.
Achrafi is the sixth man to be charged over that alleged plot.
Simultaneously, detectives attached to Organised Crime Squad’s Strike Force Tromperie began investigating the alleged conspiracy to kill the five members of Mt Druitt-based rap group OneFour.
Police allege Achrafi was also involved in this plot, which was intended to occur last year, and as such he was charged with five additional counts of conspiracy to murder.
Achrafi was refused police bail on the fresh charges and will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday.
Achrafi has been represented by lawyer Abdul Saddik for previous charges and he has been contacted for comment by The Daily Telegraph in relation to the fresh offences.
