Super Netball season three has attracted the best and brightest talent in world netball and will boast what many are predicting will be the closest competition between its eight clubs ever.
There are plenty of old faces and numerous new names on the player lists with Australians making up 74 per cent of the talent pool.
In total there will be 59 locals playing with 21 players hailing from overseas in what is also a World Cup year for the sport.

Every team will have at least one international with the imports hailing from England, New Zealand, Jamaica, South Africa, Malawi, Uganda and Trinidad and Tobago.
This makes Super Netball arguably the best netball competition in the world outside international Test matches.

SUPER NETBALL HISTORY
In 2018 the competition was won by Sunshine Coast Lightning who defeated West Coast Fever in the Grand Final. The Giants were the minor premiers.
In 2017 Sunshine Coast Lightning were the inaugural winners of Super Netball after beating the NSW Giants in the Grand Final. Melbourne Vixens were the minor premiers.

HOW IT WORKS
The competition starts on April 27 and will stop after June 23 for four weeks to allow top players to return to their countries to prepare for World Cup in Liverpool in July.
The competition will resume on July 27.
Semi-finals will be played on August 31 and September 1 with the preliminary final on September 8.
The season decider has been slated for September 15.
SCORING
A win is worth four points.
A draw is worth two points.
Winning a quarter equals a one point bonus.
Drawing or losing a quarter means zero points.
