Liesl Tesch, Jenny Whittle, Jeanie Kupsch inducted into basketball Hall of Fame
A BASKETBALLER who became a sailing gold medallist, a long serving Opal and a master of the jump shot are the latest women to be inducted into the Basketball Australian Hall of Fame.

A BASKETBALLER who became a sailing gold medallist, a long serving Opal and a master of the jump shot are the latest women to be inducted into the Basketball Australian Hall of Fame.
Joining Liesl Tesch, Jenny Whittle and Jeanie Kupsch as inductees into the hall is former player and top administrator Perry Crosswhite.
Between them these four athletes have represented Australia at five Olympic and five Paralympic Games, winning three silver and two bronze medals combined.
Teach just two months ago won her second gold medal as a sailor at the Paralympics after a long career as captain of the women’s wheelchair basketball team.
She was also the first Australian woman to play professional wheelchair basketball in Europe in the early 2000s.
Kupsch, another trailblazer, as one of the first great exponents of the jump shot.
Whittle was an international force with the Opals and was also a star of the WNBL, winning two championships titles and a league MVP.
Crosswhite helped establish a national league with paid players in the 1980s.
