Jamie Lee Price has received a lot of things from former rugby league gun and father Steve.
Her fitness, athleticism, strength and competitive nature are some of the things, along with his support of her sporting career.
But it is words of advice from her father she treasures most.

Price, who played tag and touch football growing up, says it was her former Bulldogs and Warriors dad who told her to always follow her dream and to put all her efforts into netball.

It was advice which has Price on the court in her first World Cup this month after making her Australia debut last October against the Silver Ferns, a team she was eligible to play for before choosing Australia.
“That chat dad had with me a few years ago was worthwhile heh,” said Price, based in Sydney with the Giants Super Netball team but who moved to New Zealand for over a decade when eight for her fathers rugby league career.
“His other advice really is just to have a never give up attitude and not to put too much pressure on myself.”
