STORM v DRAGONS
Injuries/reports:
*No injuries or reports
Talking points:
*Billy’s back! The Storm fullback notched a solid 53 and showed all the signs that he will once again be a SuperCoach force in 2016.
*Cameron Munster (34) made an early return from injury although he appears well over-priced at $391k.
*Popular buys Russell Packer (49) and Tim Lafai (40) were solid but won’t have coaches lining up for their signatures when the lockout ends.
*Jesse Bromwich (91) rewarded those who paid big cash to get him in, recording a try-assist, 2 linebreak assists, 35 tackles, 2 offloads and 14 hit-ups
Highlights:
*Tohu Harris justified his high-price as a centre/wing purchase with 60 points all in base stats, including 29 tackles and 15 runs.
*Fijian flyer Marika Koroibete (95) scored an early double and almost cracked triple figures by half-time. Unfortunately for owners he was brought back to earth in the second half.
Lowlights:
*Josh Dugan could only muster 36 in his move to centre, however he did manage to punch out a very promising 19 tackles and 15 runs.

TITANS v KNIGHTS
Injuries/reports:
*Pauli Pauli was placed on report for a late shot off the ball
*No injuries to report
Talking points:
*Smokey Agnatius Paasi (73) lived up to his pre-season hype to produce a try, line-break and 15 hit-ups to reward owners.
*John Olive (32) was a late call up for the Titans and emerged as a cheapie at just $133k
*Popular cheapie Ashley Taylor (32) had a solid night that included 2 try-assists, although he could only manage 19 in base stats.
*SuperCoach relevant players Robbie Rochow (47), Jacob Saifiti (33), Daniel Saifiti (57), Sam Mataora (42) and Nathan Davis (35) all produced solid scores.

*Will Zillman drops out of the team, David Mead shifts to fullback, former Rabbitoh John Olive comes in on the wing
ROOSTERS v RABBITOHS
Injuries/reports
*Adam Reynolds - (Jaw, TBA)
*Kyle Turner - (Pins and needles, precautionary)
*John Sutton - (Pectoral, TBA)
Talking points:
*Point of difference buy Adam Reynolds (59) was brilliant in orchestrating his side around the field before going off with what could be a serious jaw injury.
*Popular cheapies Jackson Hastings (50) and Jayden Nikorima (48) produced very respectable scores despite being on the end of a badly beaten side.
*On a negative note, Hastings did relinquish the kicking duties to fellow cheapie Latrell Mitchell (13).
Highlights:
*POD buy Greg Inglis (73) showed no signs of slowing up as a result of his niggling knee injuries notching a try, 5 tackle busts and two line-breaks.
*Englishman Joe Burgess (64) made the most of his late call up by bagging a brace of tries. He is expected to make way for Daniel Tupou next week.
*Paul Carter (71) solidified his position in the team with a strong display including a try, 30 tackles, 3 offloads and 17 runs.
*Kyle Turner (82) looms as a potential left-field buy at $181k with a dominant display, although his scores were inflated with a try and an assist.
Lowlights:
*Blake Ferguson (31) struggled to score for his owners, although this shouldn’t last long once the Roosters get their act together.
*Popular cheapie Vincent Leuluai (18) played very limited minutes off the bench for the Roosters.
Teams:
1. Blake Ferguson 19. Joe Burgess 3. Dale Copley 4. Shaun Kenny-Dowall 5. Latrell Mitchell 6. Jayden Nikorima 7. Jackson Hastings 8. Kane Evans 9. Jake Friend (c) 10. Dylan Napa 11. Aidan Guerra 12. The Rabbitohs are 1-17 as named earlier in the week
COWBOYS v SHARKS
Injuries/reports
* Paul Gallen (Knee, TBA)
Talking points:
* The extent of SuperCoach stalwart Paul Gallen’s injury. The Sharks skipper limped from the ground with 15 minutes to go with a right knee injury. There are fears he may have suffered ligament damage but coach Shane Flanagan refused to speculate on the seriousness of the injury. Gallen was very upset in the dressing room.
* Possible Gallen replacement in your SuperCoach team Ethan Lowe dominated for the Cowboys with barnstorming runs and a bucketload of tackles.
* There’s only one Johnathan Thurston.
* Ben Barba has emerged as a genuine cheap fullback bench option.
Highlights:
* Ethan Lowe 109: An 80-minute tackle-busting machine who laid 39 tackles himself and made 17 runs. At $350,000 and change he’s good value if he can keep that up.
* Andrew Fifita 68: A surprising POD this year had a good hit-out. 37 runs and 14 tackles.
* Ben Barba 47: 14 runs and a couple of offloads. Looked sharp and is cheap.
Lowlights:
* Paul Gallen 43: Not the score, because he was his usual solid self, but the injury concern.
1 Lachlan Coote 2 Kyle Feldt 3 Justin O’Neill 4 Kane Linnett 5 Antonio Winterstein 6 Michael Morgan 7 Johnathan Thurston (c) 8 Matthew Scott (c) 9 Jake Granville 10 James Tamou 11 Gavin Cooper 12 Ethan Lowe 13 Jason Taumalolo Interchange 14 Rory Kostjasyn 15 John Asiata 16 Scott Bolton 17 Ben Hannant
Cowboys are as named. No change to the 17 that won the grand final.
1 Ben Barba 2 Sosaia Feki 3 Jack Bird 4 Ricky Leutele 5 Valentine Holmes 6 James Maloney 7 Chad Townsend 8 Andrew Fifita 9 Michael Ennis 15 Matt Prior 11 Luke Lewis 12 Wade Graham 13 Paul Gallen (c) Interchange 10 Sam Tagataese 14 Chris Heighington 16 David Fifita 17 Jayson Bukuya
Matt Prior moves into the starting side, with Sam Tagataese dropping back to the bench.
TIGERS v WARRIORS
Injuries/reports
* Ben Henry (Knee, TBA)
Talking points:
* The potential season-ending injury to popular Warriors cheapie Ben Henry. Coaches will be hunting for cheap CTW options and the cupboard ain’t exactly chockers after some underwhelming performances. Rooster Latrell Mitchell could become even more popular and Bulldogs Tyrone Phillips or Brad Abbey will find supporters if the door opens.
* Mercurial playmaker Shaun Johnson leading the Warriors’ comeback. Are you game?
* Mitchell Moses producing his best performance in first grade, with a hand in three of his side’s six tries and good goal kicking.
* Where were high-profile Warrior signings Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke?
Highlights:
* Simon Mannering 88: Try-inflated score but the Warrior workhorse just keeps on giving. A massive 47 tackles and eight runs.
* Mitchell Moses 77: Made a few coaches sit up and take notice with a fantastic first half. Awkwardly priced at $238,700 but after his finest display in first grade he has plenty of upside. Had his goalkicking boots on with 5 and also 18 tackles.
* Shaun Johnson 96: Was, well, Shaun Johnson. Waited until the second half to start firing but when he did. Bang, bang. After a strong Nines and first-up showing he’ll have a lot of coaches forgetting those down times.
Lowlights:
* Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 19: We won’t rub it in to those that forked out the $489,500.
* Isacc Luke 26: Had 25 tackles but that was all she wrote.
Final teams: Tigers 1. James Tedesco 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Tim Simona 4. Kevin Naiqama 5. Jordan Rankin 6. Mitchell Moses 7. Jack Littlejohn 8. Aaron Woods (c) 14. Kyle Lovett 10. Tim Grant 11. Curtis Sironen 12. Chris Lawrence 13. Sauaso Sue Interchange: 9. Manaia Cherrington 15. Josh Aloiai 16. Ava Seumanufagai 17. Jack Buchanan
Kyle Lovett is expected to start in the second row with Manaia Cherrington on the bench. Jack Littlejohn is expected to start at hooker with either Curtis Sironen or Chris Lawrence to partner Mitchell Moses in the halves.
New Zealand Warriors 1. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2. Tuimoala Lolohea 3. Blake Ayshford 4. Solomone Kata 5. Manu Vatuvei 6. Shaun Johnson 7. Jeff Robson 8. Jacob Lillyman 9. Isaac Luke 16. James Gavet 11. Ben Henry 12. Ryan Hoffman (c) 13. Simon Mannering Interchange 10. Ben Matulino 14. Nathaniel Roache 15. Sam Lisone 17. Bodene Thompson
Former Tigers prop James Gavet will start in the front row with Ben Matulino playing off the bench.
RAIDERS v PANTHERS
Injuries/reports
* Sam Williams (virus, TBA) - pre-game
* Blake Austin (suspected medial ligament strain to right knee, TBA) Came off early in the second half.
* James Segeyaro (suspected broken arm, TBA) Came off after 55 minutes.
* Aidan Sezer (possible fractured cheekbone, TBA) Played on
Talking points:
* The injuries to Canberra five-eighth Blake Austin and popular Panthers hooker James Segeyaro will hit some coaches hard. Austin, who was promoted from the bench to the starting team before the match, was on fire early and finished with 44 points despite limping off early in the second half. Likewise, Segeyaro had 46 points before his injury.
* The Segeyaro injury could open the door for cheapie Zach Docker-Clay ($113,800). The Panthers are light-on for genuine hooker options.
* Early days, but is Aiden Sezer set for a breakout year? Combined well with Austin and gave the Raiders some direction after Austin went off. Looked lively in the green despite a possible fractured cheekbone.
* Shawn Fensom was a green machine in attack and defence, despite only playing 53 minutes. Trent Merrin had a strong impact in his first game for his new club.
Highlights:
* Shawn Fensom 91: Score was inflated by the try but showed he’s still SuperCoach relevant with some strong base stats, including 35 tackles and 13 runs.
* Josh Papalli 86: Nothced two try assists, which won’t happen every game, but the 112kg second-rower should be put on the watchlist after a solid effort, including three ineffective offloads.
* Aiden Sezer 84: Two tries and 20 points from line breaks. Looked comfortable with his new team.
* Trent Merrin 72: Only played 58 minutes but was solid as always for his new club with 15 runs and 23 tackles, making some big metres. You could do worse than locking him in.
* Josh Mansour 61: A slow start but delivered as always, with a try, 12 runs and 2 line breaks.
Lowlight:
*Jamie Fisher-Harris 11: He’s got admirers at the Panthers but cheapie forward Fisher-Harris played limited minutes for limited reward.
Final teams: Raiders 1. Jack Wighton 2. Edrick Lee 3. Jarrod Croker (c) 4. Joey Leilua 5. Jordan Rapana 6. Blake Austin 7. Aidan Sezer 8. Shannon Boyd 9. Josh Hodgson 10. Frank-Paul Nuuausala 11. Josh Papalli 12. Elliott Whitehead 13. Shaun Fensom Interchange: 14. Kurt Baptiste 15. Sia Soliola 16. Paul Vaughan 17. Jeff Lima
Big news here with Blake Austin replacing Sam Williams (virus) at five-eighth, with Kurt Baptiste coming in on the bench.
Panthers: 1. Will Smith 2. Josh Mansour 3. Waqa Blake 4. Peta Hiku 5. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 6. Jamie Soward 7. Peter Wallace (c) 8. Sam Mckendry 9. James Segeyaro 10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 11. Bryce Cartwright 12. Isaah Yeo 13. Trent Merrin Interchange 14. Tyrone Peachey 15. Jeremy Latimore 16. Suaia Matagi 20. James Fisher-Harris
Penrith are as named 1-13. James Fisher-Harris will make his debut, coming in for Elijah Taylor on the bench.
SEA EAGLES v BULLDOGS
Injuries/reports
* Chase Stanley (cork, TBA)
* Michael Lichaa (knee, 14 weeks) - Came off late in the game. Went straight up the tunnel and then iced his left knee.
* Steve Matai on report for high tackle on Aiden Tolman
* Martin Taupau on report for shoulder charge
* Adam Elliott (concussion, TBA)
* Brett Stewart (hamstring, TBA) - pre-game
Talking points:
* The injury to Stanley could open a backline spot for a cheapie - either Tyrone Phillips or Brad Abbey.
* The injury to Lichaa could open the door for back-up Craig Garvey, who is a cheapie at $134,000, with Damien Cook having left the club.
* James Graham and Aiden Tolman appear to be massive early winners from the new interchange rules. Note however, their minutes were inflated due to the three injuries.
Highlights:
* James Graham 82: Proved the doubters wrong. His ownership almost halved in recent weeks, but the English international produced a vintage display with a massive 25 runs and 36 tackles.
* Aiden Tolman 78: Equally as prolific as his skipper, also notching 25 runs, and pipping Graham in the tackle count with 40.
* Moses Mbye 86: Notched three try assists and will score plenty of free points this year through goalkicking.
* Jake Trbojevic 62: Popular sleeper produced a very solid game with 37 tackles and 17 runs.
Lowlights:
* Nathan Green 27: The popular cheapie played the full 80 minutes, but only notched 27 points. However, the fact he played big game time is a massive plus and he will no doubt come good if the minutes continue. Got no ball in a badly beaten side.
* Matt Parcell 22: The popular cheapie played very limited minutes off the bench, with Apisai Koroisau clearly the preferred hooker.
Final teams:
Sea Eagles: 1 Tom Trbojevic 2 Jorge Taufua 3 Jamie Lyon (c) 4 Steve Matai 5 Brayden Wiliame 6 Dylan Walker 7 Daly Cherry-Evans 8 Jake Trbojevic 9 Apisai Koroisau 10 Nate Myles 11 Lewis Brown 12 Nathan Green 13 Martin Taupau. Interchange: 14 Matt Parcell 15 Blake Leary 16 Darcy Lussick 18 Siosaia Vave
Brett Stewart (hamstring) is out. Tom Trbojevic moves from the wing to fullback with coach Trent Barrett promoting Brayden Wiliame from the NSW Cup side to replace Trbojevic on the wing. Barrett has also promoted 18th man Siosaia Vave ahead of Feleti Mateo, who drops out of the side.
1 Will Hopoate 2 Curtis Rona 3 Josh Morris 4 Chase Stanley 5 Sam Perrett 6 Josh Reynolds 7 Moses Mbye 8 Aiden Tolman 9 Michael Lichaa 10 James Graham (c) 11 Josh Jackson 12 Tony Williams 13 Greg Eastwood. Interchange: 14 Sam Kasiano 16 Tim Browne 17 Adam Elliott 22 Lloyd Perrett
Danny Fualalo drops off the bench, with Lloyd Perrett added in the only change.
EELS v BRONCOS
Injuries/reports
* Jordan Kahu (quad) - out for 2-4 weeks
* Corey Norman (sprained neck) - Went to hospital for precautionary scans. Not considered serious.
* Michael Gordon (head cut) - played on
* Kieran Foran (hamstring, TBA) – pre-game
Highlights:
* Corey Oates 91: Notched a try, try assist and three linebreaks in a best on ground performance. Also failed to ground a grubber over the line that could have sealed a second try.
* Manu Ma’u 61: One of Parramatta’s most likely and played big minutes, which bodes well for the bye period, when Eels will be essential.
* Nathan Peats 58: Made 54 tackles and will be another one to watch over the byes.
Lowlights:
* Corey Parker 56: A below average score for God, but he would have notched 74 if he didn’t have a shocker with the boot.
* Semi Radradra 28: It was always going to be tough for Semi to keep his run up. Hopefully drops to a bargain price for the byes.
* James Roberts 20: Barely sighted in his first NRL game for the Broncos.
* Greg Eden 12: Cheapie option notched four errors on his Brisbane debut.
* Michael Gordon 28: Was in the wars all night, picking up a head knock early and clutching at his leg later in the game.
Talking points:
* Parramatta simply couldn’t gain any attacking continuity without halves Foran and Norman.
* The Kahu injury may benefit cheapie Eden, who may stay in the side longer than we thought despite his four errors. Expect Jack Reed to come in at centre next week and Eden to retain his spot on the wing.
* With Kahu injured, Anthony Milford kicked goals while Parker was off the field. Very handy for owners.
* Milford was denied a try due to a forward pass, which would have dramatically inflated his score. Milford looked dangerous all night, but couldn’t quite crack the half ton in a frustrating night for owners.
Final teams:
Eels: 1 Michael Gordon 2 Semi Radradra 3 Michael Jennings 4 Brad Takairangi 5 Clint Gutherson 6 Corey Norman 19 Luke Kelly 8 Junior Paulo 9 Nathan Peats 10 Tim Mannah (c) 11 Manu Ma’u 12 Beau Scott 13 Tepai Moeroa. Interchange: 15 Peni Terepo 16 Daniel Alvaro 17 Ken Edwards 18 Kaysa Pritchard
Kieran Foran (hamstring) is replaced at halfback by Luke Kelly. Kaysa Pritchard comes onto the bench for David Gower.
Broncos: 1 Darius Boyd 2 Corey Oates 3 Jordan Kahu 4 James Roberts 5 Greg Eden 6 Anthony Milford 7 Ben Hunt 8 Josh McGuire 9 Andrew McCullough 10 Adam Blair 11 Alex Glenn 12 Matt Gillett 13 Corey Parker (c). Interchange: 14 Jarrod Wallace 15 Sam Thaiday 16 Joe Ofahengaue 17 Kodi Nikorima
Unchanged.
