Players had a massive second day of competition at the NSW U15 girls state hockey championships at Lithgow on Saturday.
There were blowouts, draws and tight tussles as teams chased a spot in Sunday’s finals.

After NSW won the Australian U15 girls hockey championship crown earlier this year, there has been much interest in the state tournament with spots on new squads on the line for young players.

DAY TWO MATCH REPLAYS
GAME 1: NEPEAN V BATHURST 2, 3-0
An entertaining match on a decidedly chilly Saturday morning at Lithgow.
But Nepean were in control from the get-go, dominating both halves for their convincing win.
Faith Martinez and Jessica Lavender scored from the field with Shannae Lawrence scoring off a penalty corner.
GAME 2: METRO SOUTH WEST V GOULBURN DISTRICT 2, 0-1
Another good early battle between these two well known associations.
Claire Hellessey scored the match winner for her Goulburn side to deliver them the 1-0 win.
MATCH 3: NEWCASTLE 2 V CANBERRA, 0-3
Jessica Latham starred in this match, scoring a double for the Canberra side.
Indira Allan also put her name on the score sheet in this 3-0 victory over Newcastle.
MATCH 4 HOCKEY COFFS HARBOUR V SYDNEY EAST, 2-0
Good win for the girls from the north coast.
Jessica Zwiers did the damage to Sydney East, slotting in a field goal and off a penalty corner to give Coffs Harbour the success.
MATCH 5: SOUTHERN HIGHLAND V ILLAWARRA SOUTH COAST 2, 2-0
The Southern Highlands team were in good touch for this match-up.
Captain Sienna Soster and teammate Maya Thompson both scored from the field for the 2-0 win.
MATCH 6: SYDNEY SOUTH V ILLAWARRA SOUTH COAST 1, 1-1
Another evenly matched encounter which was reflected by the scoreline.
Lahni Woodger and Karly Jenkins were the individual scorers in the hard-fought 1-10 draw.
MATCH 7: HOCKEY NEW ENGLAND V NEPEAN, 0-1
In a tough tussle, it was Nepean who put the only points off the game on the board.
Captain Shannae Lawrence lead by example, slotting in off a penalty corner to break the deadlock.
MATCH 8: NORTHERN SYDNEY & BEACHES 1 v TAMWORTH 1, 1-0
Another close, low-scoring game at the three-day championships.
Michaela-Jayne Kennedy claimed the match for Northern Sydney & Beaches with a goal from the field.
MATCH 9: SYDNEY EAST V PARKES 1, 3-2
In a high-scoring match Sydney East emerged victorious by a goal.
Sofia Bay, Molly Robinson and Pia Martin all scored for Sydney East.
Scorers for Parkes were Ellie Parker and Molly Orr.
MATCH 10: ILLAWARRA SOUTH COAST V METRO SOUTH WEST 1, 0-3
Metro South scored two great goals from the field and one off a corner for their victory over Illawarra.
Hayley Bishop and Katoie Powers scored from the field with Abbie Hamilton the other scorer.
MATCH 11: GOULBURN DISTRICT V GRAFTON, 2-1
Isabelle Galland score a field goal and captain Grace Jones off a corner to deliver Goulburn this win.
Caitlin Amos struck from a penalty corner.
