Future Waratahs, Wallabies and Wallaroos were on display at the NSW state rugby titles over the weekend - and some very excited footballers from Sydney’s west.

The future of western Sydney rugby clubs in the Shute Shield is a hot topic of conversation but it’s clear rugby is thriving - and loved - in Sydney’s west.

The sheer delight of these Western Sydney Two Blues youngsters in winning the state titles is lighting up social media and bringing a smile to plenty of faces.

Western Sydney teams were among the big winner at the Positive Rugby championships held at various venues across the state over the June long weekend.

The Penrith Emus won state titles in the under 14s boys and the under 16s girls.

The Two Blues were the standout club in the boys under 13s and girls under 14s divisions.

In fact, Penrith and the Two Blues were the only two clubs to win two titles over the three-day holiday.

The event spanned six different venues and involved more than 150 teams and around 4000 young players. There was even snow at some of the venues after a cold snap across NSW.
