The best hockey players in the state have competed for championship glory. Watch replays of all the grand finals and final day action here.

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Newcastle vs Illawarra (Div 1 Grand Final)

The stakes have never been higher at the NSW Hockey FieldTurf Australia Open State Championships with 11 matches of finals action to be streamed live.

All the action in the men’s and women’s championships will be streamed live as the state’s best athletes compete for the silverware and selection in the NSW Pride squads for the upcoming Hockey One League.

All the action will be streamed live on dailytelegraph.com.au.

The men’s and women’s competition, taking place at Moorebank and Narellan respectively, will be featured on the livestream from 8am Monday.

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Port Macquarie Hastings v North West Sydney 2 (Women's)

North West Sydney 2 women’s has earnt a spot in the promotion play off by emerging victorious in a must-win clash against Port Macquarie Hastings in the Division 3 competition.

An opening goal to North West Sydney’s Alicia MacMillan followed by a second to Rosalie Flokstra had the team in a dominant position for the final stages of the match.

Flokstra doubled her tally with a classy calm finish in open play to put the result almost beyond doubt in the final quarter.

A late consolation goal to Port Macquarie’s Emily Currey saw the final score read 3 – 1.

MEN’S DIVISION 2 SEMI FINAL – SYDNEY SOUTH 4 NEPEAN 1

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Nepean vs Sydney South (Men's Div 2 SF 1)

Sydney South has booked a ticket to the Division 2 grand final with a dominant win over a spirited Nepean outfit.

The final play of the opening quarter saw Sydney South take the lead with an impressive drag flick off a penalty corner off the stick of Blake Hernandez.

Nepean bounced back not long after courtesy of Jeremy Walzak but a crunch goal scored by Lachlan Prentice saw Sydney South ahead 2 – 1.

Matthew Vine made no mistake with a penalty stroke to extend the lead for Sydney South with the result put beyond question in the final quarter thanks to Hayden Neale at the post.

Sydney South will take on Newcastle in the Division 2 grand final to be streamed live at 1pm.

MATCH 20: SYDNEY EAST 3 LITHGOW 1 – WOMEN’S DIV 2

Sydney East has celebrated a fine victory against a tricky Lithgow outfit in their final pool game of the Division 2 competition.

Two early goals in the first half to Julia Bradley and Destiny Peris showed all the early momentum was with Sydney East as the Lithgow women struggled to come up with any answers.

A fourth quarter goal to Lithgow’s Tamika Potter gave the team in lime green hope of mounting a late comeback, but a final goal at the post by Sydney East captain Kathleen Chua put the result beyond doubt.

MEN’S DIVISION 1 SEMI FINAL – NEWCASTLE 1 TAMWORTH 1 (Newcastle progress on ladder position)

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Tamworth vs Newcastle (Men's)

Newcastle has narrowly booked a spot in the championship decider with a draw enough to scrape through in a hard-fought match against Tamworth.

An early goal to Tamworth captain Isaac Farmilo had Newcastle on the back foot early with the Novocastrians pushing hard to equalise.

It wasn’t until the final play of the third quarter following a mountain of penalty corners that Newcastle converted off the stick of Rory Walker.

An action-packed final quarter ultimately saw no goals added to the tally with Newcastle progressing to the grand final off ladder position.

The championship match will be streamed live from 1:30pm.

WOMEN’S DIVISION 1 SEMI FINAL – NORTH WEST SYDNEY 6 METRO SOUTH WEST 0

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Metro South West vs North West Sydney (Women's)

North West Sydney has proven no match for Metro South West in the division 1 semi final, running rampant with six unanswered goals.

The competition heavyweights were a class above hometown hopefuls Metro South West, dictating the match from the opening siren.

The six goals, including a hat trick to Hannah Russell, will see North West Sydney return to the field for the championship match at 2:15pm.

MEN’S DIVISION 1 RELEGATION BATTLE – CENTRAL COAST 1 SYDNEY EAST 0

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Central Coast vs Sydney East (Men's)

Central Coast will return to the top division of the men’s state hockey championships next year after a single goal was enough to beat a determined Sydney East opposition.

The first half goal and ultimate winner gave the Central Coast outfit their first and only win at the championships after a miserable opening two days.

Sydney East’s best result of the championships was a draw in their last pool game against Northern Sydney and Beaches.

The result means Sydney East will fall back into Division 2 at next year’s state championships.

WOMEN’S DIVISION 3 GRAND FINAL – NORTH WEST SYDNEY 4 SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS 0

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – North West Sydney vs Southern Highlands (Women's)

A dominant grand final display by North West Sydney against Southern Highlands in the division 3 decider will see the team rise a division for the next state championships.

An early goal to Rosalie Flokstra in the opening quarter set the wheels in motion for the deserved victory but a willing Southern Highlands team didn’t roll over.

Strong chances came for Highlands women including a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper which was well-saved.

The miss was punished just moments later with a North West Sydney goal off the stick of Alicia MacMillan to extend the lead to two.

Goals in the final quarter to Kayla Beaton and Emily Phelps saw the final scoreline read 4 nil.

MEN’S DIVISION 2 GRAND FINAL – NEWCASTLE 4 SYDNEY SOUTH 0

The strength of Newcastle men’s hockey has been showcased at the state championships with the Novocastrians second team taking out the division two title against Sydney South.

Rising talent plays a huge part in the grand final victory with a hat trick, including an impressive drag flick to put the result beyond doubt.

The classy team effort included a goal by Shaun Frazer as the determined Sydney South outfit struggled to find any answers to the impressive opposition.

The final score was 4 nil.

WOMEN’S DIVISION 2 GRAND FINAL – SYDNEY SOUTH 1 GOULBURN 1, 4 – 3 on penalties

NSW Hockey Championships – Goulburn vs Sydney South – Division 2 Grand Final

A nailbiting penalty shootout has seen Sydney South emerge champions of the women’s division two competition in an entertaining grand final against Goulburn.

Goulburn had the early ascendancy following a goal in the opening quarter as Sydney South desperately tried to get themselves back in the game.

A penalty stroke in the third quarter by Sydney South’s Isabella Ancevski saw the match back on level terms with both teams fighting to take the lead as the final siren drew closer.

The deadlock couldn’t be broken in regulation time leading to a penalty shootout with the Sydney South goalkeeper and strikers holding their nerves to win 4 – 3.

MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – ILLAWARRA SOUTH COAST 3 NEWCASTLE 0

REPLAY: NSW Hockey Championships – Newcastle vs Illawarra (Div 1 Grand Final)

Illawarra South Coast have been crowned men’s state champions after a strong victory over Newcastle in the championship match.

In less than three minutes the Illawarra team hit the lead off the stick of Olympian and former Kookaburra Keiran Govers who got the ball standing in the penalty circle and immediately struck a low reverse strike into goal

The lead was doubled in the first quarter from almost the same spot on the field with a rising reverse strike no match for the goalkeeper.

In the opening stages of the third quarter Alexander Mackay thundered a rocket into goals to extend the lead and put the result beyond doubt.

WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – NORTH WEST SYDNEY 2 ILLAWARRA SOUTH COAST 0

North West Sydney has reclaimed the women’s opens state hockey championship with a thrilling 2 nil victory over a talented Illawarra South Coast team.

The evenly-matched teams traded scoring opportunities in the opening half but both sides were unable to convert.

The first goal didn’t come until the third quarter when North West Sydney’s Ellen Campey made no mistake in front of goal, beating the goalkeeper and calmly putting the ball away.

Early in the final quarter Morgan Blamey scored North West Sydney’s second goal to extend the lead. leading to a desperate push by Illawarra South Coast to claw back in the contest.

A tense final minutes ultimately didn’t result in a goal with North West Sydney winning the championship match 2 nil.
