The men from Northern Sydney and Beaches didn’t take long to open their account, earning a penalty stroke following a dangerous short corner strike on goal midway through the opening quarter.
Nicholas Johnston made no mistake slotting home the goal.
North West Sydney looked dangerous in periods of the first half but was unable to break through the opposition defence.
However, in the final minute of the third quarter Jack Pickering struck home an equaliser much to the frustration of Northern Sydney and beaches players.
A tense final quarter was unable to break the deadlock with the match finishing North West Sydney 1 Northern Sydney and Beaches 1.

Minutes later, young Ehren Hazell made no mistake with a penalty corner and powered the ball into the bottom left of the goals to double the lead.
Central Coast captain Brinley Gallagher got his team back in the contest with a strike off a penalty corner in the third quarter, until Tamworth’s Tim Hardy put the result beyond doubt by putting away a pinballing ball from close range.
A late goal to Cooper Smith with three minutes remaining gave hope for a miracle comeback for the Central Coast, but it wasn’t to be.
MATCH FOUR: GRAFTON 2 METRO SOUTH WEST 1 (MEN’S)

An impressive second-quarter goal to Samuel Mudford, blocking an attempted clearance inside the penalty circle before calmly powering the ball into the net, doubled the lead for the Novocastrians.
