The coaches of the eight schools remaining in the Bill Turner Cup and Trophy Northern NSW finals have revealed who will lead them into battle in Coffs Harbour this week

KommunityTV will bring you an exclusive live stream of the Bill Turner Cup and Trophy Northern NSW finals kicking off with the Cup (boys) and Trophy (girls) semi finals on Tuesday.

The stream will continue on Wednesday with the third-placed play-offs as well as the grand finals, all from the Coffs Coast Synthetic Fields, Coffs Harbour.

The top schools from the far reaches of Northern NSW have progressed through the knockout competition, with the aim to come away with the ultimate bragging rights.

Meet the players who will be tasked with leading their school side through the finals.

What the coach says: “Jacob is the heart and soul of the playing group,” Edmonds said.

“His presence in the midfield has been a major factor in the team’s success this year. Jacob leads by example both on and off the field - always positive and encouraging with a work rate second to none.

“Jacob currently plays for the Northern Rivers Football Academy in the 15 year age division, where he is also team captain.”

“He is most confident playing in the backs as the last line of defence and has been the driving force in leading his team to the final series.

“Nikolas currently plays in the NPL competition and represents Coffs Harbour where he is a most valuable asset to the team.”

“He recently returned from trials at Benfica where he impressed with his passing and technical ability and his commitment and attitude. Alex treats teammates, coaching staff and officials with respect. 

“He is an exciting player who is capable of producing a moment of skill and creativity to unlock a well-organised defence.”

“She is a strong role model for the rest of the team in the way she treats others and executes in the field. Iris has continued this respect and performance throughout the Bill Turner Trophy Series.”

“Keona is currently taking time away from club football to concentrate on her other interests, however still actively participates in our women’s football program and is also a member of the Bishop Druitt Open girls’ team.”
