Don't miss out on the headlines from Supercoach. Followed categories will be added to My News.
IN THE first week of the byes, we needed our SuperCoach stars to stand up.
And they did — at least if you have all of Patrick Dangerfield, Dustin Martin, Joel Selwood and Josh Kelly.

AFL DAILY: MONDAY’S BREAKING NEWS, VIEWS AND REACTION
The problem was at the other end of the price scale as the likes of David Myers, Daniel Lloyd, Andy Otten and Shai Bolton couldn’t rise to the occasion.
So who were the SuperCoach studs and duds from every game? Read on.
PORT ADELAIDE 98 d HAWTHORN 47
Power studs: Charlie Dixon kicked the first two goals of the game and kept it going for four quarters, scoring a massive 167. Brad Ebert is averaging an elite 112 this year after a season-high 141. Ollie Wines provided a good value bye, returning to form with a 105 and Sam Powell-Pepper (88) rewarded owners who held him.
Power duds: If you traded in Robbie Gray or Paddy Ryder after their bye and saw the scoreline you could be forgiven for rubbing your hands together. Ryder’s 81 was underwhelming and the less said about Gray’s 44 the better.
Hawks studs: Tom Mitchell was the top-scoring Hawthorn player yet again, although his 105 was down on recent weeks. Jarryd Roughead and Ryan Burton both posted 89 which was pretty good in the circumstances.
Hawk duds: Jack Gunston was considered a real premium forward option at the start of the season. But after averaging at least 90 points a game for the past three seasons, his average has plummeted to 77 with his 27 points on Thursday night a season-low. Normal bench players Blake Hardwick (52) and James Cousins (56) were OK.
GEELONG 96 d ADELAIDE 74
Cats studs: Dangerfield or Selwood? Selwood or Dangerfield? Just pick them both. Joel won the SuperCoach battle by two points 151 to 149 but they are both in unbelievable form — Danger averages 154 from his past three and Selwood 137. Scott Selwood scored his third ton in three games and will enjoy a big price jump this week.
Cats duds: James Parsons (56) was a little better than in recent weeks for those who had him on the field, but with Geelong’s bye next week you can finally trade him out. Nakia Cockatoo scored a team-low 39 points.
Crows studs: Just two Adelaide players in triple figures with Matt Crouch and Tom Lynch each scoring 105. In fact, they were the only two Crows above 90. Not ideal.
Crows duds: A few in this category but will give the gong to Andy Otten, who crashed to earth after his 121 a week early with just 36 points. Rory Laird couldn’t get going scoring a season-low 59 points.
GOLD COAST 80 d WEST COAST 77
Suns studs: Gary Ablett turned back the clock with a game-high 139 points, his second-highest score for the year. Jarryd Lyons, Aaron Hall, Pearce Hanley and Steven May all raised the bat and Jarrod Witts can be happy with a 96.
Suns duds: Will Brodie will be on the bubble next week but after scoring 32 in both his first two games, we’ll be passing. Jack Martin (56) hasn’t come on like we thought he would.
Eagles studs: Slim pickings here with just Sam Mitchell (111), Dom Sheed (107) and Elliot Yeo (103) posting three-figure scores.
Eagles duds: Jack Darling stank (34) and he had a few mates. Mark LeCras (46) was another supposed star who failed to fire at Metricon.
GWS GIANTS 117 d ESSENDON 101
Giants studs: It’s all about Josh Kelly. A game-high 38 disposals at 87 per cent efficiency generated a monster 176 SuperCoach points. Zac Williams was also brilliant with 26 damaging disposals and 145 SuperCoach points. Lachie Whitfield and Dylan Shiel also cracked the ton while Heath Shaw (99) just missed out.
Giants duds: The 16,000 coaches relying on Daniel Lloyd would be bitterly disappointed with his game-low 31 points; thank god for his third-quarter goal. Not too many other disappointments from SuperCoach relevant players although we could mention Callan Ward’s 79 points.
Bombers studs: Zach Merrett had his mojo back, posting a team-high 118 points. Tom Bellchambers was next best with 98.
Bombers duds: James Stewart scored just 35 and although Essendon is saying all the right things about David Myers, the fact remains he hasn’t scored more than 60 points in his five games, managing just 46 on Saturday.
RICHMOND 101 d NORTH MELBOURNE 66
Tiger studs: Dustin Martin must have watched Danger, Selwood and Kelly and decided to prove he is part of that elite SuperCoach bracket, smashing out 165 points from 38 disposals and two goals. Bizarrely he’s still under his starting price and will be a super pick-up after the Tigers’ Round 12 bye. Bachar Houli and Trent Cotchin also scored over 130 and Dion Prestia played his best game as a Tiger, posting 118. He’s just $385,900. Interesting.
Tiger duds: Low scores from Connor Menadue, Dylan Grimes and Jason Castagna, but hopefully none of you have them in your SuperCoach team. Shai Bolton did some nice things but the bubble boy finished with just 44 points. Alex Rance played a great defensive game but it wasn’t so great from a SuperCoach perspective, scoring 62.
Kangaroos studs: Jamie Macmillan was the standout for North Melbourne, providing constant rebound and scoring 107 SuperCoach points. Todd Goldstein had a few moments he would rather forget but 100 points is a respectable return.
Kangaroos duds: Ed Vickers-Willis continued the trend of bench players falling flat with 51 points, second-lowest at North ahead of only Taylor Garner. Ben Cunnington (52) and Jarrad Waite (54) had shockers.
COLLINGWOOD d FREMANTLE
Magpies studs: Adam Treloar looks back to his very best, topping the scores on Sunday with 128. Midfield partners Scott Pendlebury (108) and Steele Sidebottom (109) weren’t far behind while Darcy Moore was the surprise packet, finishing with 108.
Magpies duds: Far from being a dud, Daniel Wells’s day ended early through injury with just 15 points to his name. Ben Crocker made a quiet return to AFL with 34 points while Jackson Ramsay (40) and Matt Scharenberg (46) failed to reach 50.
Dockers studs: Connor Blakeley played a lone hand as the top Docker, posting 114 to finish behind Treloar only. Lachie Neale bounced back from a horror game last week to finish with 106 while Nat Fyfe was better, his 104 the first time he’s hit three figures since Round 5.
Dockers duds: It was a bad day for Matt Taberner (31), Darcy Tucker (36), Luke Ryan (37), Shane Kersten (43), Brady Grey (44) and Hayden Crozier (49).
