They may have missed out on a win over Richmond in the JLT Series but one thing is for sure.

Melbourne midfielders Angus Brayshaw and Clayton Oliver will be SuperCoach gold this year.

Both men hit the ground running on Sunday, with Oliver amassing a game-high 127 points while Brayshaw finished with 111.

For Richmond, it was veteran Bachar Houli who led the way with 112 points. However, it was forward Noah Balta (104) who everyone was talking about.

Scroll down to see some of the players who caught our eye and every score.

NOAH BALTA RICHMOND FWD $123,900 104

A couple of days ago, you may have been asking, who? But this kid has some serious talent. Balta had a second quarter to remember against the Demons, clunking marks, crashing packs and kicking two great goals. If he can keep this form up, he will make it incredibly hard for the Tigers to drop him. At this price, he could be an excellent cash cow option.

CLAYTON OLIVER MELBOURNE MID $622,600 127

He was a disposal machine last year and it appears nothing has changed in the off-season for Clayton Oliver. The elite midfielder was a scoring machine against the Tigers, particularly during a dominant first half. While Oliver comes with a big price tag, he will be worth every cent if he is going to perform like this.

DUSTIN MARTIN RICHMOND MID $563,800 78

It was a slow first term. Then there was a knee scare in the second quarter. But by the end of the third, Dusty was probably the best player on the ground. When he is good, he is unstoppable. At this price, he’s currently in 34 per cent of SuperCoach teams. Expect that number to rise even further before Round 1.

MARTY HORE MELBOURNE DEF $117,300 57

The SuperCoach community is collectively hoping Marty Hore will play Round 1. He is currently in 30 per cent of teams and comes with a bargain price tag of $117K. He did his chances no harm on Sunday, with the mature age recruit a solid contributor for the Demons.
