Police appeal after boy, 10, ‘taken and grabbed by wrist’ at South Albury park
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a man and a woman allegedly approached a 10-year-old boy at a park in the state’s south before he broke free and fled.

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a man and a woman allegedly approached a young boy at a park in the state’s south before he broke free and fled.
Police allege on Sunday evening, a 10-year-old boy was approached by a woman while sitting on the riverbank in Noreuil Park Foreshore, South Albury.
It is believed the woman then took the boy by the wrist over to a man sitting on a bench.
The boy then managed to pull free and run back to his mother, police say.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District attended the scene and commenced an investigation.
Police have described the woman as caucasian in appearance and aged between 35 to 45-years-old.
She was wearing black shorts with an orange, pink and purple bikini top with a wavy line design.
The man is described as caucasian, aged between 35 to 45-years-old, tall, with blonde hair and wearing a white shirt, black shorts and with a tattoo on his arm.
Murray River Police District Crime Manager Detective Chief Inspector Jy Brown has urged anyone with information to come forward.
“We know the foreshore is a popular location for locals and visitors and we are appealing for members of the public who were in the area at the time and may have taken mobile phone footage or images, which may feature the male and female described in the background,” he said.
“We are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to assist in the investigation.
