Two boys have been charged after allegedly filming a police chase during an alleged violent crime spree in the state’s south.

NSW Police revealed four people – including children and teens – were arrested over an armed break-in and stolen car pursuit as part of a crackdown on youth crime in the region.

The so-called “post and boast” incident involving three young boys and one girl allegedly unfolded in North Albury, where police were called to a home on Fairview Dr around 2.20am on Sunday, February 2, following reports of a break-in.

Officers will allege the four intruders – one armed with a knife – threatened a 70-year-old woman and stole her SUV.

Police said the woman was shaken, but unharmed.

A crime scene was established and investigations began.

Police said officers saw the allegedly stolen SUV on Logan Rd, North Albury, about 4am where a pursuit commenced but was called off when police lost sight of the vehicle.

Investigators say a passenger was seen allegedly filming the chase.

A separate pursuit on Kaitlers Rd, Lavington, was also terminated due to safety concerns, police said.

Police arrested three boys, aged 11 and two aged 13 and a 14-year-old girl on Resolution St, Albury on Monday.

They were taken to Albury Police Station and charged.

The 11-year-old boy faces multiple charges, including aggravated break and enter, armed robbery, car theft and disseminating crime-related material, or “boast and post”.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in a children’s court on March 17.

One 13-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl were each charged with aggravated break and enter, car theft and being carried in a stolen vehicle, while the second 13-year-old boy was charged with armed robbery and “post and boast”.

One of the 13-year-old’s will appear in a children’s court on February 10, while the other will appear on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old girl is due in court on February 13.
