Deanne Kennedy allegedly attacked Glenfield Park resident

A woman is accused of breaking into Greenfield Park home before attacking the occupant and smashing up walls.

An Ashmont woman allegedly broke into a home and attacked the person inside before smashing up the walls.

Deanne Kennedy, 34, fronted Wagga Local Court on Wednesday charged with a number of offences following the alleged incident earlier this year.

Police allege between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Sunday, April 12, Kennedy broke into a Barrima Drive property and attacked the person inside.

Police will also allege Kennedy destroyed plasterboard in the foyer of the home, according to court documents.

She was charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent, aggravated break and enter, assault occasioning actual bodily harm while in company, intentionally destroy or damage property and one count of common assault.

Kennedy is yet to enter a plea to any of the charges.

Magistrate Halburd reminded Kennedy that if she pleaded guilty she would “get a discount” on her sentence.

The matter was adjourned until January 20, with a meeting between her and the prosecution (case conference) to take place on December 2.
