Woman killed in fatal pedestrian crash in Nowra, driver charged
A woman has died in hospital after she was allegedly struck by a young driver on the state’s south coast. The driver has now been charged.

A man has been charged after his car allegedly ploughed into an elderly woman and killed her in Nowra.
Emergency services rushed to Worrigee St and Nowra Ln in Nowra about 2.50pm on Wednesday following reports a woman had been struck by a car.
Police found the injured 88-year-old woman who was treated by paramedics and taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital.
She tragically died in hospital on Thursday.
The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, was arrested at Falls Creek about 10.30am on Thursday and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
He was granted conditional bail to appear Nowra Local Court on June 27.
