Teen flown to Canberra with ‘critical’ injuries after allegedly crashing stolen car
A 16-year-old boy was critically injured after allegedly crashing a stolen car on the state’s south coast, only four hours after the vehicle was taken from a Western Sydney property.

A teenage boy was flown to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition following a single-vehicle crash on the state’s south coast on the weekend.
Emergency services were called to the crash site near Cockwhy on the Princes Hwy, around 30km southeast of Ulladulla, after reports of a crash early Saturday, with the occupant trapped inside.
The 16-year-old driver and sole occupant was freed from the wreckage by Fire and Rescue NSW, and airlifted to Canberra with serious head, leg, and pelvic injuries, according to police.
He was in a critical but stable condition.
Initial investigations by south coast police suggest the white Toyota Camry was travelling south at around 6.45am when it lost control and left the road, hitting a tree.
Police checks revealed the car was reported stolen around four hours earlier from a home on Jardine Way, Jordan Springs, Western Sydney.
Officers from the South Coast Police District seized the car and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
