A former South Coast real estate agent faced Nowra Local Court on Friday charged with unlawfully obtaining more than $300,000 in property deposits.
Slade Small was arrested at Nowra Police Station on Friday morning before he was charged with six counts of dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
The 31-year-old, who is now working as a removalist, is alleged to have profited from the sale of six separate properties on the South Coast between August and November last year.
The properties were; 34 Greenbank Grv, Culburra Beach ($43,650), 22 Greenback Grv, Culburra Beach ($64,087.50), 8 Black Swan Wy, Culburra Beach ($27,000), 174 Prince Edward Ave, Culburra Beach ($69,250), 22 Alata Grv, South Nowra ($45,750) and 81 Isa Rd, Worrigee ($61,252).
Small’s parents were in court as he was granted bail under a strict set of conditions including putting forward a $10,000 surety, reporting daily to Nowra Police Station and not contacting any prosecution witnesses.
The ex-property salesmen is not allowed to apply for a passport or travel documents and has been restricted from leaving NSW.
He is also banned from operating or working at any real estate business, renewing or attempting to renew his NSW real estate license, registering a new company and operating or using any company bank accounts.
Small must reside at his address in Tomerong and he’s only allowed to work for his current employer, a removals business that’s located less than an hour away.
Small will be back in Nowra Local Court later this month.
