Nowra: Two teens, one woman charged following alleged string of home invasions

A number of people have been charged following a probe into an alleged string of home invasions across the South Coast, and have seized guns, drugs and vehicles believed to be stolen.

A number of people have been charged following a probe into an alleged string of home invasions across the South Coast, and have seized guns, drugs and vehicles believed to be stolen.

The charges were laid after multiple alleged break and enters between December and January in West Nowra, Huskisson and Vincentia.

The alleged offending included three to four people, who all entered homes while occupants were sleeping, stealing two motorbikes and four motor vehicles, police will allege.

Investigators from the South Coast Proactive Crime launched an investigation into the break-ins before police executed search warrants at Basin View and Wollongong properties on Wednesday.

During the searches, police allegedly uncovered two loaded rifles in various bedrooms of one of the residences, as well as a motorcycle police believed was stolen and several cannabis plants.

Following the search, a 38-year-old female was arrested and charged with a series of firearm offences. Her firearms license was suspended.

She is scheduled to appear in Nowra Local Court later this month.

Meanwhile, Damon Ford and Lachlan O’Neill, 19, were also arrested and charged with multiple offences; including stealing, property related crimes and aggravated break and enters.

Ford and O’Neill appeared in Nowra Local Court on Thursday before Magistrate Lisa Viney, where their cases were adjourned to March 26.

Neither have entered pleas.
