A pair who allegedly broke into a south coast home before threatening and “seriously” injuring someone have faced court.
Jesse Rose, 42 and Nicole Parrish, 34, faced Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, each charged with aggravated break and enter.
However, documents tendered to the court reveal Rose is also charged with possessing a prohibited drug and common assault, while his co-accused, Parrish, is also charged with stalk and intimidate to intend fear.
Neither Bomaderry residents have entered pleas.
Police allege the pair entered a Dobbie Crescent, West Nowra home on the evening of January 1 this year.
The court heard the pair allegedly threatened and bashed someone in the home while there, leaving them with “serious” injuries.
“They broke into the home and intended to commit a serious, indictable offence,” court documents state.
Police were later called to the scene before being directed to the pair’s Bomaderry home.
During the visit, police allegedly found cannabis at the premises, before the pair were arrested and charged.
The court heard that while Parrish was granted bail in Wollongong Local Court the next day, Rose was placed into full time custody, as the alleged offence broke strict bail conditions he was serving for previously allegedly attacking a Bomaderry McDonalds’ manager, throwing a drink in his face.
In court on Tuesday, Parrish’s and Rose’s lawyer, Brett Ford, asked the court for an adjournment to allow for the charge certificate to be served.
He said once this occurred, the pair would enter pleas.
The request was not opposed by Magistrate Lisa Viney, who adjourned the case for later this month.
