A man who allegedly entered a home on the NSW south coast, with intentions of assaulting the two men who lived there, left before committing the “serious act”, court documents state.

The allegations saw Jarrad Grant, 29, appear before Nowra Local Court on Tuesday, charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent while knowing people were home.

The Sanctuary Point man is yet to enter a plea.

It is alleged in documents tendered to the court that Grant entered the Kingsford Smith, Sanctuary Point home on the afternoon of August 5 this year.

Police allege the 29-year-old entered the home without consent and with “aggravated” intentions of assaulting the two individuals who reside at the property.

Grant was originally refused bail the same day as his arrest, with documents revealing the allegations regarding the attempted assault was considered too serious.

However, the Sanctuary Point man was later granted bail on August 6, with conditions stating he stay away from the residents he allegedly planned to assault.

In court, Grant’s lawyer Vassilia Haralampidou said negotiations were ongoing and could take some time.

She asked the court to adjourn the matter by a number of weeks, a request not opposed by Magistrate Lisa Viney. Grant will return to court on October 1.
