Plans for a multi-day music and arts festival at Shoalhaven have been revealed as music events slowly returns to the region in the wake of Covid lockdowns.
The Coolangatta Winter Wine Festival, which will be hosted at Coolangatta Estate, promises to bring top-notch productions to the popular wine region.
Spread over multiple days, the event will combine music with food and art, Shoalhaven Council documents reveal on March 9.
“The program includes a world-class music festival production,” the documents state.
“That includes a winter wine and produce festival presented in partnership with the South Coast Food and Wine Festival, as well as cultural and artistic performances and installations.”
The festival’s organisers aren’t new to producing festivals in south NSW.
Organiser Yours and Owls Events hosted the Wollongong-based festival of the same name for almost a decade.
As many as 10,000 people are expected to be able to attend the festival daily, with the program split into two sites.
The first site will operate between 4pm and 10pm on Friday, June 10, and have a capacity of 2000 and feature a sit down banquet, food and wine fair, cellar door tastings, music and comedy performances, arts and cultural performances.
The second site will operate between noon and 10pm on June 10, with a capacity of 10,000.
It will be an all-ages concert featuring internationally acclaimed bands and musicians as well as local acts.
The application was submitted to Shoalhaven Council on March 9.
