Merriwa: Body found by fire crews following house blaze on rural property
Police are not treating the finding of a body on an Upper Hunter Property as suspicious after fire crews responding to a blaze in Merriwa made the grim discovery.

A body has been found following a house fire in the Upper Hunter, but police are not treating it as suspicious.
Emergency services were called to a rural property on Mountain Station Road, Merriwa, at about 9.15am on Wednesday, following reports a home was fully engulfed in flames.
Crews from NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW worked to extinguish the blaze for several hours.
The body was located inside the property.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
